Create with Watercolor Stamped Images

Hello friends!

The weather is slightly warmer in the last two days. I am continuing to be in the mood in creating floral cards. I truly hope that you are not tired of my Altenew creations.

This stamp set I Adore You is super popular and you can see why, right?

What can I say? I fell in love with this stamp set the moment I laid eyes on it. Whether you love coloring or embossing, this is a must-have!

Today's card is about adding a touch of watercolor (Altenew Inks) and shine (Ganzai Tambi Starry Colors).

I took out my MISTI and put the entire set on and stamped the embossed the entire floral and leaf images in  Evening Grey. Keeping the images in place in MISTI,  I clear-embossed the entire images again. This way, you are left with very subtle grey outlines for your watercoloring.

Now you wonder how I colored the images with Altenew Inks? I simply swiped the ink pad onto acrylic block and used my Waterbrush Pen to color. That's it. These inks are water-soluble and is perfect for watercoloring!

To keep the theme light and grey, I also added a strip of foil paper (see bottom right). I did fussy cut all the images and it was a simple task to do. The (Adore You) matching dies will be awesome to use here.

You can  I hope you enjoy reading/seeing this card.

Stamp a Motif (Part One)

Hello friends!
I am popping in to share how I used my stamps to create a motif.
Hello Sunshine is the perfect stamp set for that.
Shop over Simon Says Stamp here.

What is a motif? I googled the definitions and here's one of them.

Definition of motif : a usually recurring salient thematic element (as in arts); especially: a dominant idea of central theme. a single or repeated design or color

Instead of stamping each image one at a time, I laid out each stamp on my MISTI. When I placed each stamp, I tried to achieve a repetitive and nearly symmetrical design as much as I could.

    hello (close-up)

Once I am happy with the stamp design, I tested out by stamping on a piece of scrap paper. I re-arranged some of the stamps when necessary.

The rest of the process were easy--gold embossing (Gold Embossing Powder, Ultra Fine) and coloring (Altenew Artist Markers, Set A). This method is perfect for mass-producing.

Since it is so easy to mass produce, I decided to create another project with the same motif and did something totally differently. Stay tuned for Part 2.

Edited: Hello Sunshine is just back in stock over Simon Says Stamp.

    Garden Hydrangea Shaker Card

    Hello friends!
Garden Hydrangea stamp and die combo!
Last chance: Once you place it in the check out cart, the 10% off will come off....hurry!
I happen to create a shaker card with leftover pieces today.
You can see it "in action" over my Instagram under Your Story.

    thanks (Shaker card)

The alcohol-inked hydrangea was a the "leftover" from this project.

If there is anything that I would do differently is to use smaller size sequins and/or double up the Scotch Double-sided tape. Anyhow it still works fine as a shaker card and is...pretty to look at.

Shop Altenew here.  Garden Hydrangea here.
